OUR TEAM
Aberdeen Young Professionals was founded in 2009 by Ross Jolly, initially as a LinkedIn group for YPs to connect, share ideas and network. The group steadily grew in popularity through its online and in person events and Ross soon realised he would need some help!
The first committee of volunteers was formed in 2010 and led by David Taylor as Chairperson. The committee is the driving force of the organisation and consistently strives to shape an incredible future, both for our members and Aberdeen itself.
Our committee members are enthusiastic and forward-thinking young professionals who are passionate about fostering growth, ensuring that AYP remains at the forefront of professional development and networking in the region.

"I founded AYP in 2009 because I believed young professionals in Aberdeen deserved better opportunities to network, learn from each other, and feel part of a thriving community - rather than just attending formal events.
What started as a simple idea has grown into a vibrant platform that has helped thousands of people build lasting relationships and advance their careers. I’m incredibly proud of what the current committee and members continue to achieve."
